The Combatting Hate Act: How Canada Is Silencing the Church
Canada Bill C-9, the Combatting Hate Act, passed the Senate 45 to 13 on June 4, 2026. It removes the "good faith" religious defence that protected Bible-based teaching since the 1970s. Pastors have already been jailed. One final vote stands between this law and Royal Assent.
