EU Launches Israel Association Review
EU foreign ministers are now debating targeted measures against Israeli security officials and a full review of the EU-Israel Association Agreement.
The Netherlands and Spain are leading the push.
Public backing has come from Ireland, Belgium, Sweden and Luxembourg, with Denmark, Finland, Portugal and Slovenia also joining the coalition.

Officials frame the move as an examination of Article 2 human-rights obligations.
In reality it is political pressure aimed squarely at Israel while it fights for survival against Hamas and Iranian-backed proxies.
This is not neutral policy. It is selective enforcement that ignores the October 7 atrocities, the torture of hostages, and Hamas’s deliberate use of Gaza civilians as human shields.
The timing could not be clearer.
While Israel works to dismantle terror infrastructure and prevent future massacres, parts of Europe choose to punish the victim instead of the aggressor.
Such actions weaken the only stable democracy in the Middle East and send a dangerous signal to every terror group funded by Tehran.
America First foreign policy rejects this double standard outright.
Strategic alliances must be based on shared interests and moral clarity, not European virtue-signaling that emboldens enemies.
EU hypocrisy targets Israel again
At the same time European leaders lecture Israel about human rights, they remain largely silent on the real war crimes committed by Hamas and its allies.
Spain has been especially vocal, openly calling for the suspension of parts of the Association Agreement.
This selective outrage is not new. It fits a pattern of European hypocrisy that has grown more pronounced since the current conflict began.
The EU’s focus on Israeli operations in Gaza conveniently overlooks the fact that Hamas started this war with deliberate mass murder and continues to hide behind civilians.
True concern for human rights would demand equal scrutiny of the terrorist regime that governs Gaza and the Iranian regime that arms it.
Instead, Europe chooses the easier target.
This approach does nothing to advance peace. It only rewards terror and punishes the nation defending itself.
Trump era backs Israel against EU
President Trump has consistently stood with Israel as America’s most reliable strategic ally against Iran and its proxies.
In March 2026 he warned that the United States would cut all trade with Spain if it continued its anti-Israel policies, particularly its refusal to allow U.S. bases to support operations against Iranian threats.
The message was clear. America will not subsidize European lectures while our key partner fights for its existence.
Weak European gestures only embolden terrorists and divide the West at a dangerous moment.
True moral clarity demands unconditional support for Israel’s right to defend itself and to eliminate the threat of Hamas once and for all.
Diplomacy without strength is surrender. Strength with moral purpose is the only path to lasting security.
The EU’s latest move underscores a deeper truth. When Europe pressures Israel over Gaza while ignoring Iranian aggression and Hamas barbarism, it reveals a failure of strategic judgment.
America First strategy demands we stand firmly with Israel, maintain maximum pressure on Iran, and reject any policy that rewards terror or divides our allies.
The world is watching whether the West still has the will to defend civilization or whether it will continue to appease those who seek its destruction.
Regimes and alliances built on selective morality eventually collapse when confronted with real resolve.
