Iran’s IRGC Silent Coup — Pezeshkian Sidelined and Powerless

Iran's IRGC has staged a silent coup — no tanks, no announcement. President Pezeshkian has been sidelined, denied access to the Supreme Leader, and excluded from military decisions. He called unauthorized IRGC strikes on the UAE "madness." The men negotiating with Washington have zero authority over the men with the missiles.

Iran’s Silent Coup

No tanks in the streets. No public announcement.

But make no mistake — the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has effectively seized control of Iran’s government, sidelining President Masoud Pezeshkian in what multiple analysts are now calling a “silent coup.”

Fox News reports the IRGC has blocked presidential appointments, established a military council controlling access to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, and is now running wartime decisions without civilian oversight.

The elected government of Iran is, for all practical purposes, a ghost.

Pezeshkian Calls It “Madness”

Iran’s own president reportedly confronted IRGC commander Ahmad Vahidi’s associates in an unprecedented outburst — calling the unauthorized missile and drone strikes on the UAE “completely irresponsible” and “madness.”

According to Iran International, those strikes were launched without the government’s knowledge or coordination.

Pezeshkian has repeatedly requested emergency meetings with Khamenei. He has been denied every time.

A sitting head of state who cannot meet his own supreme leader — and cannot stop his own military — is not governing.

He is a hostage in a suit.

Who Actually Runs Iran?

While diplomats negotiate in Pakistan, Vahidi launches strikes on Gulf neighbors.

While Pezeshkian pleads for de-escalation, the IRGC closes the Strait of Hormuz unilaterally.

As one analyst put it bluntly — “there is no one on the Iranian side with both the will to strike a deal and the power to authorize it.”

Washington must see this clearly.

Any agreement signed by Iranian civilians is worthless if the IRGC refuses to honor it. The men at the negotiating table have no authority over the men with the missiles.

Pray that this window does not close before Iran’s people find their freedom. 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 ⚠️ #AmericaFirst #Iran #MiddleEast
