Trump's Project Freedom launches Monday — U.S. warships guide neutral ships through mine-free Strait of Hormuz corridors. Iran blocked global oil. America is reopening it. Deterrence works.
As of May 1, 2026, the EU-Mercosur interim trade deal took provisional force, opening a 700+ million-person market. South American states gain EU access while Europe secures critical minerals, even as farmers warn of deeper import pressure and new trade tensions.
The EU built trade “protections” instead of honoring commitments, leaving the U.S. with little reciprocity. Trump says that era is over, warning Europe it must open markets, invest in America, and align on trade or face steep tariffs.
Trump’s backing of Morocco’s military modernization and Western Sahara claims is redrawing Mediterranean power balances. Spain’s low NATO spending, F-35 snub, and repeated clashes with Washington have left Madrid isolated as Morocco gains strategic leverage in the Maghreb.
The Pentagon is scrapping the planned deployment of the Army’s long-range fires battalion to Germany, ending a Biden-era plan meant to bolster NATO’s eastern flank with Tomahawk missiles, SM-6 systems, and hypersonic platforms. Trump’s move, alongside troop cuts, marks a sharp shift in U.S. Europe strategy and pressures Germany to assume more defense responsibility.
The Trump administration is increasing efforts to help broker peace in Sudan, where a brutal civil war has raged since 2023. With hundreds of thousands killed or displaced, renewed U.S. diplomacy aims to ease suffering, prevent regional spillover, and support a pragmatic path to stability.

The Biden DOJ's anti-Christian bias is now official. Believers were privately mocked as "cultists," pro-lifers faced the harshest sentences, and the SPLC was weaponized to brand Christians as threats. A new Task Force report lays the systematic targeting bare, exposing deliberate persecution of people of faith.
The UAE has issued a sharp warning that Iran cannot be trusted to honor any agreement regarding the Strait of Hormuz. Senior adviser Anwar Gargash emphasized that only international law and decisive strength can secure freedom of navigation through this vital waterway, urging Gulf neighbors to abandon hesitation.
President Trump is moving to reduce U.S. troop presence in Germany, Italy, and Spain after their leaders criticized America during the Iran conflict. Around 5,000 troops have already begun leaving German bases. The America First principle is being enforced—NATO allies must share the burden or accept a smaller American footprint on their soil.
China touted a consumer boom on May Day 2026, sounding more capitalist than communist, while Cuba, North Korea, and Vietnam staged the usual red-flag spectacles. American socialists joined in, demanding economic blackouts, open borders, and wealth taxes. Once again, the global left revealed how state control crushes the very freedoms it claims to defend.
